Fighting Antisemitism, Xenophobia and Racism Now!

Through interactive workshops and sharing of experiences between young people from Norway and Poland, we aim to raise awareness and knowledge about hate speech, as well as strengthen skills and attitudes to prevent it.

“Fighting antisemitism, xenophobia and racism now!” is an in-school programme, lasting for one school year. Starting with a 3-day workshop in Norway in September, participants follow up with student-led project activities in their local communities, before meeting again in Poland in the spring.

The project is open for teachers and students from upper secondary schools in Poland and Norway. Through participatory activites and discussions, the aim is to empower learners to be active citizens in today’s diverse society. Teachers and students from both countries are given the opportunity to share their experiences and strengthen their resolve to fight xenophobia and to promote attitudes of respect and inclusion.

The project is designed around historical events from Norway and Poland, linking them to current topics and challenges.

The Project is organised by Polin Museum of the History of Polish Jews, and The European Wergeland Centre, and funded by EEA and Norway Grants.

The fourth cycle of the project will take place in the school year 2026-27.
