Maciej Sopylo
Maciej Sopylo is an experienced trainer with over a decade of practice in supporting children, young people, and adults in understanding democracy and exercising their legal, educational, and human rights. His areas of expertise include civic and human rights education, media and information literacy—including challenges related to disinformation and hate speech—safe and responsible use of the internet, and effective and empathetic communication.
Maciej has extensive experience working with participatory and active learning methods. In his trainings, he creates safe learning spaces where participants can reflect on experience, draw conclusions, and learn from one another. He also prepares educators and practitioners to work with groups through train‑the‑trainer programmes.
A trainer of trainers, Maciej has spent over 5,000 hours facilitating training sessions. As a freelancer, he has collaborated with some of the largest educational organisations in Poland. In recent months, he has also worked with the Ministry of Justice as a methodological expert, supporting efforts to strengthen legal education delivered by courts and legal professionals.
