The European Wergeland Center and UiO:Democracy invite you to the Experience Conference 2025 – a meeting place for everyone working with education for democracy and human rights. The conference is in Norwegian.
Anti-democratic attitudes are more widespread than just a few years ago. The climate for expression, both in classrooms and in public discourse, is tightening. Fewer young boys wholeheartedly support equal treatment of women and men. What is really at stake, and how should we respond to these trends in our work with children and youth?
On November 14th from 09:00 to 15:00 at Deichman Bjørvika (lower level), we will explore how education can help defend democracy – in Norway, Europe, and globally.
Target audience: Employees in the school system, those working with formal and informal education, researchers, teacher education institutions, and actors in the field of democratic learning (museums, learning centers, libraries, etc.).
