Khrystyna Chushak

Expert, Ukraine

Khrystyna Chushak is the European Wergeland Centre’s expert, based in Ukraine (Lviv).

She is a head expert in charge of education programmes designed and delivered within the several EWC's programme's in Ukraine, including the 2024-2027 "Schools for Democracy: Strengthening Democratic Resilience through Education".

She holds a PhD in Political Science from Ivan Franko National University of Lviv and represents Ukraine in the Council of Europe's Education Policy Advisors Network.

Since the late 1990s, Khrystyna has been actively involved in educational NGO initiatives, focusing on youth, youth workers, high school teachers, and school leaders.

Since 2019 she started working in the Lviv Regional In-Service Teacher Training Institute, the Education Policy Chair. Her work bridges academic research and practical educational reform, contributing to democratic development through education.
