Connecting Museums and Schools

On 5th May 2026, The European Wergeland Centre organised a webinar entitled ‘Connecting Museums and Schools’.

Through a series of webinars, the “MUCIT: Museums as Sites of Citizenship” project have invited teachers, librarians, museum educators, youth workers and civic society actors to a webinar to explore how museums and schools can better cooperate.

The museum’s aim is to build bridges between generations and bring out the best in people. The school’s aim is to prepare pupils for adult life.

Nataliya Pysarevska, Webinar participant

This session explores how museums and schools can work together to address traumatic events, complex historical narratives, and controversial issues in educational settings. Among other topics, it highlights the sucessful collaboration between Polish educators and the POLIN Museum of the History of Polish Jews through the Museum Ambassador Programme.
